Why We Built Cura
Jen Elena Romano and Sylvia Bonilla met while serving on the board of Sacred Heart Nativity School, helping first-generation students navigate the journey from middle school to high school and into college.
That part worked.
What didn't was the transition from college to career.
Students who had done everything right suddenly found themselves without the support they needed. The guidance ended just as they entered one of the most important stages of their lives. There were no wraparound services, no trusted place to ask difficult questions, and no roadmap for navigating the workplace.
Some students worked harder than anyone else and still struggled against challenges no one had prepared them for.
Cura is built for them.
